John Hibbits’ data-driven approach gives his clients a valuable edge in achieving returns that have changed the expectations of many for the value of real estate in the area’s Central Business District. His keen ability to analyze and understand financials helps his clients make informed decisions to meet their goals and makes him a valuable addition to our brokerage team. Over the past thirteen years, he has completed more than $250 million in real estate transactions.
A Raleigh native, John is committed to working hard and giving back to the community through his church and other non-profit work. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors and was selected to represent the state association in its search for its new headquarters in Downtown Raleigh.
John enjoys being in his backyard when it’s pleasant outside, on the trampoline with his kids or walking around the neighborhood with his wife.
John started his career with us, and has over 10 years of leasing and sales experience, becoming our leading specialist in downtown Raleigh commercial real estate.
He enjoys solving complex problems and using his experience to give his clients great returns, save them time and headache.
Sir Walter Raleigh was (and is) a really meaningful project to John. At first he thought it was silly for the city to try to preserve affordable housing in downtown Raleigh because efficiencies would dictate that more supply could be created in places with lower land values, but during the transaction he became really hopeful that when many wealthier people living around downtown could meet their less well-off neighbors it would broaden their perspective and make more people more generous to more causes that might alleviate and change poverty.

Downtown Raleigh! Food halls, restaurants, etc. all within walking distance.
Since I have been around for a long time, its most fun to be a colleague with so many young professionals.
To see Steve Stroud talk about and make happen (after 13 years) the reality of PNC Arena! Gray got to witness the entire timeline from just talks to completion. He says it was eye opening that projects like that take years, persistence, and vision.

Tri Properties is undoubtedly one of the preeminent commercial property brokers in this state. I was involved in a closing that had demanding clients on both sides, along with pressing deadlines and ever-changing demands regarding earnest money. In the end, Tri Properties not only closed the deal successfully but they maintained if not enhanced the underlying business and community relationships. The clients continue to be served very well by the results Tri Properties helped them secure and would use them again without a doubt.Jason Jones
Over the past few years, I have worked with Tri Properties in a number of different capacities, and have been super impressed with every experience. Greg and Becky's client did exactly what he said he would do. They were efficient in their due diligence and we even managed to close a few days prior to our scheduled closing. As we all know, that very rarely happens! Tri Properties is an outstanding group of real estate professionals and I look forward to working with them every opportunity I can.Ransome Foose, Berkeley Capital Advisors
Our company has been associated with Tri Properties for many years. They were very helpful in the sale of a standalone investment and obtained a purchase price above our expectations. I have always referred to Greg for advice in such matters and it was a pleasure working with Becky Capps and getting through the issues of a commercial property transaction.Grey Wilson, Wilson Investment Properties
